check out Congress of the Crow from Denver, CO. They got the nod from Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page! They are great guys with killer music influences ! They have a good resource for bands in their blogs.

bands seem to go to someone famous's myspace page(that has the same feel of music) and write down everyone's info and send mass emails. . . it doesn't work on me because I just delete them, but not sure if others check it out.
